Mission Pie- San Francisco, CA
by Diane
August 4, 2007
After Tilden Park, we headed into San Francisco for a little late night pie at the Mission Pie Shop in the Mission District of San Francisco. Karen Heisler, co-owner of Pie Ranch, was our host for the evening. It's what you would expect in a pie shop - on the small side but really cute with a warm inviting feel. It's the kind of place you want to go and have a piece of pie at.
The night we visited the pie specials were banana cream, strawberry rhubarb, and walnut. Strawberry rhubarb had always been my favorite pie, but, I have to say, I think the walnut has knocked it into second place.
If you want to check it out, it's at 2901 Mission St, between 25th and 26th streets. You'll be glad you did!
