We're here! by Diane

So, we've arrived in West Hollywood - came in yesterday. Since we landed, it's been nonstop packing, unpacking, buying, shifting, organizing and generally getting ready. It's so exciting to finally be here after all this planning!

First and foremost, I have to publicly thank the amazing Sustainable Table Team and GRACE employees for all their incredibly hard work helping to put this tour together. Most of them will not be coming on the road - so I want to give a big shout out and a huge Thank YOU! to all of them. You would not be reading this now if they hadn't spent endless hours programming and developing this site, along with all the other logistics that go into planning a tour such as this.

And another big thank you goes to Stephanie Bleyer, our tour manager who's joined us for a couple months to deal with all the nitty gritty details of organizing events in 24 cities. If anyone can get the job done, Stephanie can!

Everything right now is focused on getting the bus packed, which is happening in a couple hours, and getting ready for our kickoff event in King's Road Park tomorrow afternoon (11:30-2pm). We have no idea how many people will show up - maybe 10, maybe 100 - to us, the numbers don't matter. What we care about is the passion and enthusiasm we've encountered in the people we've been dealing with - and we care that we can share this all with you.

So, stay tuned for lots and lots of info (and a little planned zaniness) from the road. I have to run and finish packing so I can get all my stuff on the bus - you do not want to know how many boxes and bags and suitcases are crowding out my hotel room!
