Not to toot our own horns, but we're getting pretty excited about our own
Eat Well Guided Tour of America...

Kicking off August 2nd from King's Road Park in West Hollywood, we're traveling via bio-fueled bus to over 25 cities across the country to celebrate and spread the word about the inspiring things that people are doing to support the sustainable food movement. Along the way, we're traveling with/hosted by Food and Water Watch, GRACE and Friends of Family Farms, and hooking up with various Slow Food convivia (in Berkeley they're roasting a heritage pig!) and other food groups like CAFF (Community Alliance with Family Farmers), THRIVE, and Chef's Collaborative, just to name a few. We'll be stopping in places like Pie Ranch in Madera, California and Local Burger in Lawrence, Kansas and hanging out with food writers like Anna Lappe of GRUB fame, and Amelia Saltsman, who we highlighted in last week's pick. And of course, there could be no place better to end our journey than Farm Aid's September 9th Homegrown Festival at Randall's Island here in NYC.

We can't tell you how excited we are to get out there and meet all these people and start documenting this year's harvest and the amazing things that are happening with food these days. Please see our road trip homepage for the latest tour updates and a more comprehensive listing of the groups who've been kind enough to host us along the way. See you on the road!
